Taj Mahal on Sunday

The wide paths
are filigreed
with semi precious
sari silk
clothes of malachite
lapis lazuli
and mother of pearl
faces of amber
and black onyx
Colours embedded
in the culture
like the inlaid marble
of the mausoleum
